Shopping day

Today I woke up thinking: I wanna go shopping! My mind works in strange ways, it must have thought that some retail therapy would bring more cheer into my life.

What is so special about this trip? Well, it was a first for me, to go shopping all by myself here in Baltimore. All the while there was either the company of the Husby or Fairy God sister when she was here, and today, sob, no one. But I decided I shall be brave, after all it is just a bus ride away and back. Unfortunately the buses are not terribly frequent - it only came once every hour, and the returning bus was once every two hours. It meant I had to plan my trip carefully.

It must have been the curse of "I-want-to-buy-something-shopping", for after one and a half hours, I did not buy a single thing. None. Empty-handed. No clothes caught my attention, no bag or shades either. Those tops that I thought looked all right were out of my size. Why is it always that when I run out of money, I will see many things that I want to buy, but now that I want to buy something, there are none! The problem was soon solved, when I walked into a supermarket. Food, I can always find something! It was for the first time I found chocolates with chunky hazelnuts here. Somehow everywhere I looked had lots of chocolate with almonds, but none with hazelnuts. Now at least I can comfort myself with chocolate and hazelnuts. *smack lips*

And I went to wait for the bus to get home. The bus-stop was consisted of a mere sign post, no shelter or seats. I was just thankful that it did not rain, it certainly looked like the clouds may not hold up much longer. What a relief it was to see the bus come along! Otherwise I would be there waiting for another two hours. Sigh, how I wish I would have a girl friend here to go shopping with me!
