Lord of the rings 3 was showing on TV tonight, and the Husby and I were glued to the goggle box. In the middle of the fighting, I experienced an epiphany, a flash of what a nuisance I am to the Husby while watching the show!
You see, I kept asking him questions like "So did Gandof die?", "Who's that?", "What did he say?" or "Is this king good or bad?". Men, being men, cannot multi-task and so he will be engrossed in the show. Still the Husby would usually answer my queries, but sometimes he leaves me to find out for myself when I ask what happens next. What it means is that I sit at the edge of my seat trying to figure out who, what and when - it is so tiring! =P
This bad habit of mine that has been around for a long time. The same thing occur ed when we watched Star Wars too, and this was in the cinema mind you! I kept asking the Husby if Skywalker or Yoda was good or evil, and who lived or died. In fact I got so confused with Star Wars because the "squeals" are not in order.
Therefore I conclude that the best movies for me to watch the cartoons. They are not as complicated, and just what I need for the child in me. I am definitely looking forward to Shrek 3, and who knows, maybe another realisation will dawn on me!
