Hugs

Thank you everyone! I had 229 hugs for the month of April itself, that works out to 7.6 hugs a day! Going to claim from the Husby! =)

I'm sure most of you would have read of the "Free hugs" campaign too. There are several of these going on now in various countries, you can say it has evolved into a world-wide phenomenon. In case you are wondering, the original was in Sydney, Australia. Here is the link to that website to the story of the famous hugger Juan Mann and his first hug. A video was also posted on YouTube, and it was voted the "most inspirational" video clip in March 2007.

Someone tried to do something similar in Singapore too, I could not remember how it went. All I recall was that it was along Orchard Road. I doubtful that it would have been really successful, as in my books, Asians are less likely to hug. Physical contacts are restricted to pats on the back for the kids, like "Well done for your exam! Next year you get first in class too yah?". If that is within the family, how likely are they to hug a stranger?

As for myself, I would still be afraid to give/receive one of these free hugs thing. Hugging a stranger, well, I have second thoughts. But from friends and family, now that is always welcome! *BIG HUGS* Hope you have a good day!
