Horses on the streets

Sometime last week, I realised that there were many kids right below our apartment, and they were making quite a ruckus. Being a kay-poh, I poked my head out to see what was going on. Wa, I sure did not expect to see horses! These horses look like they are on patrol, either by the police or the Neighborhood Watch group. But I may be wrong; these guys could just be enjoying a leisure ride through the neighbourhood now that the weather is warmer.

On quite a few other occasions, I have seen this other horse cart go by. At first I was wondering why there was the sound of bells approaching, and I thought to myself: Is that a cow?? You see, I always believe cows would have bells, not horses! My guess is that this was like a mobile grocery store since the cart was full of fruits and vegetables. It traveled relatively fast so it was difficult to get a good steady photograph.

Hmm, seeing these horses on the streets probably solved a mystery - why there are large chucks of dung on the street and sometimes the pavement! Be sure to watch where you are going!

Left: Horses attracting the kids in the neighbourhood
Right: The horse cart grocery store; reminds me of the mama store!
