Baseball game!

View of the stadium and the pitch: We were seated quite near the action! Notice that the stadium has three levels, and more than half of the seats were occupied for yesterday's game. Its a real pity I did not have fish-eye lens!

Pitching and batting. The ball flew really fast that its not possible for my camera to capture it. The box in pink depicts a blurred flying ball.

Left: The giant screen with the score board.
Right: Live pictures of couples were screened, and as the name implied, they were suppose to kiss when they see themselves on the big screen!

My very first baseball game!

It was the Orioles (Baltimore!) against the visiting Tampa Bay Devil Rays from Florida at Camden Yards yesterday evening. The support for the Orioles was good, considering it was a weekday evening and a game that was believed to be not too promising (The Orioles have not been doing well, but for the record they won 1-0 after 10 innings). Most people were really cheering too, although there were occasional boos when the Orioles did poorly, peppered with yellings like "You suck!". What an experience! We were really fortunate that our friend had tickets worth $45 each for the Husby and me, and took us along! =)

Either than the game itself, there were many other distractions too! There were also many people selling food- from hot dogs to ice cream, from lemonade to ice cold beers. Just as we see it in the movies! The giant screen would show the names of the player batting, and in between innings, people's birthdays and anniversaries, or live screening of fans cheering. Too bad there was no one proposing to their significant other; that would be fun to watch!

Someday I hope to catch a basketball game too, this time I make sure I will have some of the lemonade!
