Farewell dinner

The lab had organised a farewell dinner for me at Original Sins at Chip Bee Gardens, and the food (its vegetarian by the way) was delicious (it was expensive too by my standards). We then had drinks at Wala Wala, complimentary of mio. Fun night!

The farewell card was absolutely lovely, and was shaped like a four-leaved clover. 100% handmade by a dear coral loving cookie and two other babes! I also recieved leather gloves and leg warmers too, which will certainly come in handy once I am there in cold weather.

Last day at work

Its my last day at work; this once highly anticipated day that now seemed somewhat dreadful and sad day has arrived...

Time really flies, I have been in the lab for so long that it feels like a second home to me. (I have probably spent more time in the lab than at home!) It was difficult to throw away some of my samples too, for they were the fruit of my many hours of toiling in the lab and made with lots of anticipation of a bigger better experiment. And yes, it is sad to part with some dear friends who have made my stay in the lab wonderful, especially those whom I have lunches and tea-breaks (even dinners too).

Last but not least: Farewell beloved timer, you have served me well!

(I personalised it with what else but frogs, and I really like it. Too bad I cannot take it along with me.)
