But I called her! On Friday to be exact. I usually speak to them on Fridays, because for Kedah, their weekend is on Friday and Saturday, not like the rest of us on Saturday and Sunday. Half way through our conversation on Friday, she suddenly exclaimed "So Sunday you don't have to call again!" Haha, I figured that was my cue to wish her a Happy Mothers' day. She actually remembered when was Mothers' Day! These days it is difficult to miss it, because in my opinion, it has been exploited by businesses. You see it everywhere, from television commercials to print advertisements, reminding you to get something for your mom. Prices of flowers must have gone up too during this time.
Somehow it reminded me of this song below that I used to see on TV when I was growing up in Malaysia; it must have been in some commercial, and that I would sing along. My papa used to make fun of me when I did that! It sure brings back warm fuzzy memories. Is there such a song for dads too?
