Get well soon

I spoke to my parents this morning, and this was when I heard the bad news about Monkey.

He has not eaten in the last two days, not even chicken porridge that my mama cooked specially for him. Plus they told me that Monkey as a lump on his back, which appeared just this week. It seemed to be affecting the way he walked.

All these is so sudden; last week when I spoke to my parents they were feeding me stories of how mischievous Monkey was to give them the slip when the gate opened. My parents should be taking Monkey to the vet right this moment.

Given his old age, I tend to worry more.

It reminded me of this incident earlier in the week. I had gotten off the bus after work, and was waiting for the light to cross the road. Up ahead, right in front of me, was a black dog that resembled Monkey very much! It was on a nice leisure stroll with its owner, and had the identical bushy tail I always loved of Monkey, down right to the floppy ears! By the time I could cross the road, the dog and owner were a distance ahead. As I hurried down the path to catch more glimpses of the dog, it crossed the main road behind its owner and disappeared into the dog park.

Having said this, of course there will never be a dog like Monkey in this world. Please get well soon Monkey!
