Once upon a time, in a not-so-far-away land, there was a girl who would grow up to love frogs, and July 21st would prove to be the days she has two, no wait, three (if you consider the "best" frog she snagged) major life-changing experience with frogs.
But she did not know this yet, as her love for frogs only became apparent late into her teenage years.
Her first brush with frogs was this assignment she had to do for art class. It required her to do a calligraphy piece on a poem titled "The Frog" by Hilaire Belloc, which meant she had to do an illustration on it as well. This was when she first realised that this amphibians were rather adorable, and gosh, did you know they do have big round ears on their sides?

Fast forward to her junior college days. One of her best girl friends (who is an excellent dancer by the way!) gave her a cute green frog for her 17th birthday, and voila, her collection of frogs began! The frog was given a peculiar name, because her friend teased her about her dog named Monkey and wanted to name the frog in the same light. Hence, Chicken the frog was her first frog-toy, and it stayed in her pencil case all throughout her junior college days.
Chicken, who has GCE "A" Levels qualifications, seeks his princessA year later, the girl was turning 18, and she happened to see one famous adorable frog! Kermit was on sale at the Takashimaya toy fair, and believe it or not, she asked her granny get it for her birthday! (I see you going tsk tsk tsk and shaking your head there, that those toys are meant for 8 year-old, not 18!) Her elder sister went with granny to buy Kermit; as Kermit was so large, his feet were dangling out of the large bag when they lugged it home. The girl loves him to bits, and as you can see, her collection of all things frogs expanded, slowly but steadily.
An old photo of Kermit together with Pink Panther whom my dad bought when I was like five.Fast forward to 2 years later, where the girl was now almost an adult, but not quite there yet. Admittedly she had not met her prince charming yet, and kissing Kermit or Chicken did not help.
She must have wished really hard, for you know what? She met a wonderful guy on her 20th birthday! And the strangest thing was his name was quite close to Kermit's, talk about fate!
The girl has found her frog after all!
And they are now happily together! =)
The End
P.S. Please take note that the Husby's name is NOT Kermit yah? It has the K-E-M-I, but there is NO "R". Sometimes I feel so bad that everyone mistaken his name for Kermit, I wonder if it was because they think I love Kermit. Hee...
P.S. again: Why did Chicken the frog cross the road?
Because his name was Chicken, and in jokes, the chickens for some odd reasons, always cross the road!
