A cook who is no good with knifes

As most know by now, I am a stay-home bum (Thank goodness its not mum!).

Either than the usual surfing-around-online-stores-oogling-at-useless-things and watching tv all day long (ooo, I will post one on the TV soon), I have another important task everyday- cooking dinner!

I have never been a good cook. Hmm, the statement should actually be that I have hardly needed to cook. Lucky me always had great cooks like my mama and grandma around, and so I always slacked off when it comes to cooking. Well, I figure now is the best time to sharpen my knifes and pick up the culinary skills to cook decent meal, or go hungry!

But wait... Here comes the main problem between me and my chicken meat. I am afraid of knifes. Yes you heard it right, me, a-twenty-something woman who is afraid of knifes. It must have all started when I was like five or six, and I would be ever so terrified of the chopper. That big shiny heavy sharp piece of metal that had the potential to chop off my toes (yes, all ten of them!) should it slip from my hand! Small knifes are not so great with me too, they somehow have an affinity for my blood; I may just end up with a nick here and there. Ouch.

Still I try my best, and my fear is under better control now. I'll let you guys know again when the day comes that I can hold the chopper and wave it around with no fear and no more twitching toes! Just stay really far away, for the sake of YOUR toes!
