If someone told you that you could buy art pieces to hang in your home which were created by converting photographs to digital painting, your first question would probably be "Digital painting? What is that?". And I am certain you would be thinking to yourself "Hey I probably could do that too with Adobe photoshop where you can easily convert it to paint! Huh, must pay money for that?"
I actually had low expectations of how the art pieces would be like; come on, how can a digital artwork measure up to those pretty oil paintings or water colors? Oh boy, I was so wrong! After seeing the works, I was bowled over by it!
This art gallery was in Fells Point near Inner Harbor, and the artist is Robert McClintock who creates fine art pieces by using a hybrid of photograph and digital painting. You should take a look a his website and admire his art work, particularly those of the cats which are simply wonderful! Best of all, the prices are pocket-friendly ($12 for post-card size prints and onwards) and if you hang several small framed-prints together they look really good! Do check out the prints of dogs too; it was unfortunate that none of the dogs look like Freo or I would have bought it. I certainly hope to hang a few of the scenic areas in Baltimore next time when we get a place!
And as you may guess, my fingers were itchy and fueled by the thought that has been bugging me the whole night: maybe I also got some hidden talents leh! So Voila! Here is my work on the top, and the original at the bottom. If you say its nice, I will share some of the pink marshmallow peeps with ya! ;)
