Thanks Cecilia, for giving me the inspiration to do this quiz! :) This is a shorter version of the famous Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality test, and there are 16 possible personality types. (Source: Answers.com: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator)
Letter One: E or I
Extroverts focus more on people and things, introverts on ideas.
Letter Two: S or N
Sensing dominant personalities prefer to perceive things through sight, sound, taste, touch, and smell, while intuition dominant types look to past experience and are more abstract in their thinking.
Letter Three: T or F
The third subtype is a measure of how people use judgement. Thinking types use logic to judge the world, while feeling types tend to view things on the basis of what emotions they invoke.
Letter Four: J or P
Everyone judges and perceives, but those who are judging dominant are said to be more methodical and results-oriented, while perceiving dominant personalities are good at multi-tasking and are flexible.
I agree that I am an introvert (a person who tends to shrink from social contacts and to become preoccupied with their own thoughts), and so I seem to warm up to people slowly. Forgive me if that has unknowingly offended you!
Sensing huh? Sensing things through taste, now that would explain my love for foooooood! :p But I am part intuition too I am sure!
Feeling eh? I totally agree with this, emotions rule my world, which can be a bad thing too.
Perceiving or judging, this I am not sure.
On the whole, I dislike such quizzes. Now if you were the sensing type, you would realise that this by far is the first quiz on my blog. I feel that these quizzes may sometimes allow others to understand you better, but it is all so subjective! Today I may pick this option, and tomorrow yet another. Sometimes you can tweak the test results too, by guessing why they are asking you these questions. I guess on the whole if one is true to oneself when answering the questions, the results would then be a good reflection of himself.
Another reason why I dislike this particular quiz was that back in JC, we all had to take it. The results were used to decide if we would be offered special papers, or be a scholar. Confidential results they say? Nah I am sure the results are kept somewhere on file to haunt me for the rest of my life. But wait, I am not a scholar, and I will not get 33% increase in my pay! So its just a figment of my imagination; my personality test was absolutely useless to the singapore government... Phew!
