Today as the Husby was looking at the one dollar bills in his wallet, he noticed one that looked different. It had a red ink on the dark green bill, and instinctively I thought "Oh no, someone had scribbled all over it!". On closer inspection we realised that this was stamped in red ink: "See where I've been. Track where I go next. www.wheresgeorge.com"
So being the kaypoh me, I just had to log on to check it out. <Link> Where's George (Washington yah, not Bush!) is a project started way back in 1999 to track where dollar bills have traveled, and there is also the equivalent of Where's Willy for Canada currency.
Here is the tracking report for our dollar bill! It has traveled 5.1 miles over the last 76 days, and still remains within the state of Maryland. I can imagine the worst case scenario, logging on to read that someone wrote in there "Sorry dube, this note has dropped into the toilet bowl!" as I am holding onto the bill. Eeks!
PS. The George is not George Clooney either! That was the answer to who is my favourite star in the Ocean's Thirteen entry.
