For the record the title of the poll was "Where shall we have our customary dinner?" I had put in too many options, and they are somewhat alike.
31% said "Anywhere is great, so long as I am invited"
23% said "In Baltimore, and send me the ticket too"
23 % also said "How about lunch, I am free for lunch!"
15 % said "In Singapore, Malaysia and Baltimore, and I will come for all"
8% said " I will volunteer my house, and I will cook too!" Now this is a very very brave soul!
Thank you all for voting! Your votes, eh, does not make a difference in our decisions... The truth is, we really do not know when the customary wedding dinner will be held, and so we have not a clue where it will be. Just testing the response too you know? ;) If no one is interested in coming then yay! perhaps we could wiggle our way out of it. It could be next year, or the year after, or perhaps even later. It is my grandma who insists that it be next year, but this we will see again. It is definitely no easy task to plan the dinner, let alone from overseas. And of course, there is the issue of moolah no enough.
If I had my way with it, well I will probably even skip the dinner. But wait, I have not worn the wedding dress yet! So If I have to choose, I opt to have a small cozy affair outdoors with only close family (read no long-lost aunties and uncles who have not seen me since I was a kid, or worse, never ever seen me before!) and close friends. However, knowing our families and all the obligations that come along, I can banish the idea of small and outdoor wedding to the deepest, darkest, forsaken corner of the universe. Haha, it sure makes the term that the wedding is all about the couple a joke; weddings - it is all about the couple what the family wants it to be!
