The good thing about this recipe was that it does not require a lot of time and needs little ingredients (no egg, no butter, no oil!). To bake most bread you would require yeast and time for the dough to rise, which seems too troublesome for lazy-me. There are also bread machines available, but after using this hassle-free recipe (just mix in the beer and you are ready to go!), I think I will save the money for the bread machine!
It is a dense bread and unfortunately you can hardly taste the beer - it must have all evaporated. It tastes, well, just like bread does! Perhaps next time I will add in some nuts or olives. The bread went really well with Hommus /Hummus: a dip made of chickpeas; I have grown to really like the taste of hommus, and it being low-fat makes me love it more! ;)
Left: My very own wheat beer bread
Right: Hommus, and some Thai Spice Blend that Fairy God sister and I picked up at booths selling local fare. The spices allowed me cooked up a fiery chicken curry!
