How did time pass by so quickly? Frankly, I find it difficult to believe it has since been one year that I received the email for the job interview!
I have been at the job for some eight months now, and unfortunately due to the turn of events, I will be the sole technician for the lab starting this week. I like the job pretty much; I get to do some research (and hop on publications), organise the lab and help people! More importantly, I fit in and I have found myself again. =)
Of course the job is not always that rosy. For starters, I could do with more pay (as would everyone else). Sometimes it irks me that I will have to do something that seems out of my job scope, but hey, in the positive light, I get to learn more (like how I am now an expert at Fedex procedures!).
At the end of the day, I conclude that it is always a matter of if I wanted it, I can do it, I will succeed. Not a matter if whether it can be done, but just a matter of deciding if I wanted to. Big words I know, but I am so glad I found back the confidence was chipped away during the last three years. Which reminds me of what I wrote to motivate myself during the GCE 'O' Levels examinations: I can, I will and I shall succeed.
Now excuse me as I apply that to studying for my exam as the day looms nearer - I shall no longer blog as frequently as before, but instead become a weekend blogger. See you around!
