How to prevent from stepping on a protruding nail

The problem: This protruding nail on our hardwood floor a corner near the light switch is really stubborn and plain wicked! Even after the Husby has hammered it down, it pops up again. We concluded that it has a mind of it's own, with one sole evil purpose- to cause bodily harm to any unsuspecting foot that stepped on it. Trust me, it really hurts!

The solution: On a boring and wet Saturday afternoon, an idea hit me. I could cut out foam, and place it over the nail! Just for the fun of it, I decided to trace the outline of my hand and the Husby's and cut out the colored foam. No guesses for which outline belongs to who!

The finale: Asking the innocent Swede to test if the nail still has evil abilities to cause harm. The conclusion - "I don't feel the nail!" says Swede! Hurray, the floor is now safe for our feet!

At the end of the day, isn't it ironical that the solution to prevention of stepping on the nail was in the palm of our hands! ;)

PS. Swede was not harm in the writing of this entry!

The foamy palms seem to work wonders and I am sure they made an interesting statement to the floorings! =P
