Epic storm

I.have.freaking.never.seen.so.much.snow!

It started Friday evening, with lightning and thunder through the night with strong winds too. There is just so much snow everywhere. Even with a porch, the snow was coming in at an angle and it would have soon blocked our main door. Needless to say, Mean Green was buried under all that two feet of snow, maybe it was three feet after all. Still, I am so glad we did not have any power disruptions, no fallen tree or collapsed roof. What a monster of a storm!

This is today, looking sunny although temperatures were below freezing. Still, the sun made all the difference. Perhaps this is why having a home facing south is favorable, you get the morning sun and in our case it is the front - less work to do! However I cannot even vaguely foreseen how we can drive out in this snow. All the shoveling, for our neighbor as well, is really tiring. My back is killing me...
