How do you like our fancy plates? :) Yours truly could not resist buying them at Target, way too cute in my opinion. I gotta admit I hesitated for a moment, wonder what will the ex-boss say to this, but luck has it, he was not around. I thought the green ones were frogs, but it is the dino. Too bad! The pandas, donkeys and goats were really cute too.
This was the scene from this afternoon, when I went back to the old lab to help organize a baby shower for dear MD. It felt... strange to be back. Granted the last time was just about two months back when I dropped by for lunch, but this time there are more new faces. Compared to two years ago, more than 50% are considered newcomers. Still it was good to see familiar faces who always welcome me with open arms. It was my first baby shower too, but since there were men as well there was no silly games. Everyone was more interested in eating, as always! Come to think of it, the lab tech job actually did suit me to a T. I like a job where I can help people (find/order), and organize events, interact with people with the bit of science thrown in. But sometimes life is more complicated than that...
Anyway, it is great to take a breather from studying to surf, update my blog. Monday's exam was the longest for me ever, I only left at 4pm, which meant it was a 7 1/2 hour exam - no kidding! Two more to go, will be over really soon, right?
