Another one of my ramblings...

Once upon a time, there was a girl (well, not quite since she will soon turn 28) who is living in a far away place. She was a constant worrier, about the many "what-ifs" in life and how things will be. You see, she is quite resistant to changes, but yet she knows change is inevitable.
Like how she would probably have to find a new house again as the rental lease is coming to an end, what a headache! Shifting is such a pain! And she has just settled into the current place barely a year ago! Or like how she thinks it will be fun to have the wedding banquet soon, but perhaps this may not quite work out as yet. In reality savings do not grow as fast as her dreams could! Thus when people ask, she tries to dodge the question because she never knows how to handle it (so please don't ask...) And then there is work. Sometimes when the colleagues are bitter at work, the mood affects everyone, and such poison makes even the most cheerful person frown.
So how does the girl handle all of the negativity? By shutting everything else out, which also included blogging. The latter was started to remind herself of all the happy things in life, and she felt it could not be maintained because there wasn't a thread of happiness left in her at the end of every work day to update on the blog.
After taking lots of time to ponder about what exactly is bothering her, she realised it was accepting the fact that she has to take more responsibilities. Life is no longer like it was ten years back, where her parents willing dole out money whenever she needed it. Of course she already knew that it was time to grow up, but the reality and responsibilities of planning and setting up a home in a foreign land was the least to say, pretty overwhelming. So as much as she would like to remain a child, free of responsibilities and big decisions, she had to face up to the fact that she has bigger shoes to step into. Life may not be easy, but there are many other things to look forward too!
Plus there has been many things to be happy about in the past week, like the arrival of a package from WJ and also thanks to D and her mom for the gifts (more photos to come!). On the work front, things should pick up after this week, and so there was a lot to rejoice about... At the very least there is a new motto to live by! ;)
Thank you Wen Jun for the yummy chocolate cookbook and this wonderful card, just what I needed. You know me best!
